Foodies Welcome: Naked and Food Advertisements
I saw many similarities in my comparison of Welch's and Ocean Spray juice's and Quinn's discussion of the two Naked drink adds. He pointed out the both adds were aimed towards the health conscience American. One of the adds accomplished this by illustrating the drink as all-natural; the other did this with fitness. Either way, the point that comes across is that Naked's are the healthy option. This is similar to the appeals in my two juice adds. Welch's and Ocean Spray strove to show that the drinks were all natural with no added sugars, and were "good for you." Quinn and I drew similar conclusions about what this says about our food culture. People want to think what they are consuming is good for them.
